You found us!
Maybe you saw BKB Studio in Brides, The Knot, Newport Weddings, Bride & Groom or La Bella Bride magazines, or heard about us being awarded “Best Pick" by The Knot Magazine every year since 2007. Maybe you’re a Martha Stewart fan and saw the Domestic Goddess graced us with a 2009/2010 Bride’s Choice Award via weddingwire.com. Maybe a friend recommended us or you stumbled upon this site unexpectedly—either way, we’re glad you’re here!
Something Old
BKB was established in 2002 and has grown by leaps and bounds ever since. From shooting in chic boutique hotels in the heart of Boston to jetting down to the islands for a destination wedding, we love capturing a bride and groom’s day. Our couples usually end up becoming our friends, and whether we’re shooting a wedding with 500 guests in Newport or a couple saying “I do” with just the sand between their toes, we consider it an honor to be a part of your day.
Brittany K. Blando (a.k.a BKB) holds a BFA degree in photography from The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. There she studied under world-renowned photographers including Frank Gohlke and Jane Tukerman. Merging the skills she adopted from extraordinary photographers with her own creative eye, BKB has established her imagery into a one-of-a kind brand.
Something New
As we’ve grown, BKB has teamed up with several talented associate photographers, all professionals who share the BKB vision for capturing everything from the pivotal moments of a wedding to the smallest details. They have been personally trained by BKB and hold stellar reputations in the wedding world.
Something Borrowed
From BKB bride to Studio Manager, Erika Gullicksen joined our team in 2009 and is an essential part to our daily grind at the studio. When she’s not making appointments, placing orders or meeting with couples, she is behind the lens and creating incredible images herself. Oh, and we have another important part of the team: Ollie, the studio mascot and our favorite Boston Terrier (belly rubs encouraged).
Something Blue
The hydrangeas in your bouquet, the Manolos you spent entirely too much on but look amazing with your gown, the twinkle in your groom’s eyes when he says “I do,” these are the things we capture to ensure you’ll have images from your wedding to last a lifetime. Thank you for considering us to be a part of your day.
